We had an excellent start to the year with a trip to Caroline Bay in February. Several new families joined us and some people participated on a bike ride as part of Bikewise week.
We then planted some small coprosmas and pingao, a yellow-leaved native grass that holds the sand and spreads its long fingers along the edge of the sand dunes. .
Thank you to all you Conservation Volunteers - and that means the Mums and Dads too who give up some of their weekend time to bring you on our outings. And special thanks for those delicious snacks and picnic lunches that kept us going on a very busy Sunday.
