Horner Fund

The Horner Fund was set up in 2000 to commemorate the gift of Horner Reserve by Trevor and Hila Horner. The property was sold with its Reserve status intact and those funds have been allocated to fund the management and conservation of Forest & Bird's reserves and the conservation work being done by its Branches. Priority is given to projects on Forest & Bird reserves and to projects that align with the society’s strategic plan. Although the Horner Fund might only be small (typically between $500 and $3000) compared to other funding sources, any financial contribution toward conservation is of great value for nature.
