Make a submission to stop native forest logging on West Coast council reserves.

Grey District Council is calling for submissions on whether the "sustainable harvesting" of native trees should be allowed on Council owned land.

If approved, this logging proposal would set a precedent to open up public land once more for logging. We need native forests standing because they are best carbon sinks on land and because they are essential native wildlife habitats. We have lost too much already.

Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 5 May 2017.
